Compatability: TH8RS and TH8A Shifter

Item #: RMT-TMSQ

Description

Our Tactile-Feedback shift mod adds a "Click-Clack" feeling to the shifter lever. Designed to replicate the ratcheting mechanism felt when shifting a sequential shift transmission. In addition, it shortens the throw by 10%. This mod transforms the feeling of your shifter which can only be described as "manly". Solid mounting of your shifter is required for best results.

Our kit doesn't just make the shift gates shorter. Instead it changes the geometry of the shifter to reduce the length of the shift. No other device on the market does what this kit achieves. This mod is compatible with PC, PlayStation and Xbox when used with supported wheels and games.

Tactile-Feedback Sequential Shift Mod Plate January 18, 2018
Reviewer: Soulfresh from Vic Australia
The product was shipped and arrived quicker than expected which was great. Unfortunately, the one I received wasn't a good experience as it was very rough to engage when upshifting.  Contacted Frank which and he responded swiftly and suggested to put some lubricant to help break in.

However, upon further investigation, I realised that the spring wasn't installed properly on mine as it was crocket. Ended up straightening the springs and it was a night and day experience.

Furthermore, made minor modification as well as it was very loud with the clicky noise. So what I ended up doing is using two cupboard rubber dampers on the either end of the plate to mitigate the excessive clicky noise to my liking.

Finally, the little plastic extrusion bit that engages the sequential shifter mode on my TH8A shifter snapped off. Ended up having to use electrical tape to keep it in place to make it work.

TH8A Tactile Feedback Sequential Mod January 17, 2018

Great product. Spring was very stiff for the first couple of hours but is much better after that and makes rally games much more realistic compared to the stock TH8A sequential plate.

gear changes January 16, 2018

Installed as soon as I  received it on My next level racing stand. + gear was stiff to engage - gear was even stiffer. Thought I was going to break something just to get it into a gear. Once I did get it into a - gear I change gears several times  to try and free it up without success. It may be a one off thing, but lasted about five minutes before removing.

Sequential mod plate January 10, 2018
Reviewer: Chris from KY United States
Really nice peace of kit, maybe a bit pricey.  Has a solid feel in the build, you have to really want the shift to happen vs the default plate with a small weaker spring.  Happy with the product hope that the plastic piece that gives the resistance holds up over time, but for now I'm very pleased with it.  Helps with the immersion with VR racing for sure :)
