You asked and we delivered. Finally there is a do-it-yourself triple monitor racing simulator cockpit!

Have you wanted a robust racing simulator cockpit that can hold three monitors in a wrap-around configuration? The RS1 with the RS3 option is that cockpit. Unlike most commercially available racing cockpits that wiggle and cannot withstand the weight of triple monitors nor hold them steady for you while you race in your favorite sim-racing game, the RS1 is rock solid. So it was only natural that we take advantage of that sturdiness and create a triple monitor mount for it.

RS3 QuoteThe RS3-DIY is a triple display holder you build yourself out of 3/4 inch thick MDF to upgrades the RS1-DIY simulator. The plans include cutting templates and a step-by-step instruction book for both the RS1-DIY sim-racing cockpit and the RS3-DIY triple monitor option. This triple monitor holder is robust enough to support up to three 27 inch inch monitors weighing up to 20lbs each. By using three identical monitors, the self-aligning design of the RS3-DIY will place your monitors perfectly aligned, and butted edge-to-edge. The angle of the side monitors has been carefully worked out to optimize the viewing angle to the driver no matter which size monitors you use. The monitors mount to the RS3 using the monitors own VESA 75x75 or 100x100 mounting provisions to make sure the monitors are firmly supported. For users that prefer to tuck the side monitors behind the center monitor to help conceal the bezel, there is an option on the templates to build the brackets that way (this feature requires monitors that do not exceed 1.25 inches of thickness at the edges of the monitors).

The RS1 sim-racing cockpit has already been touted as one of the most rigid designs among both DIY and commercially made gaming simulators available. All that strength and rigidity is what allows us to offer this unique option. The strength and stability of the RS1 is what allows a triple monitor stand to me mounted safely, do not try this with any other racing simulators on the market. The RS1 with the RS3 triple monitor brackets creates one of the only all-in-one designs on the market today.

NOTE: THIS IS A BUNDLE PACKAGED SET OF PLANS FOR THE RS1 AND THE RS3. You will receive both sets. The instructions for the RS1 guide you to how to complete the RS1 and leave it prepared for the RS3, at which point you build the RS3 and add it to the RS1. The monitors must have a wall mount VESA 75x75 or 100x100 mounting pattern and have a removable pedestal. If you are in doubt, please email us a picture of the back or your monitor along with the make and model so we can help you determine if they will work with our mount. The VESA mounting pattern should be centered on the back of the monitor, if it is not please contact us for instructions on modifying the mount to compensate for it. To obtain the intended results you must use 3 identical monitors, dis-similar monitors will not align properly. Some unusually thick monitors may require additional trimming of the brackets to permit mounting as intended, there are no bad consequences to this just a little extra work. Monitors should be removed for transporting of the sim-rig, if frequent removal of the monitors is likely, we recommend installing quick release mounting brackets available on our website. We do not recommend monitors with controls on the side edges since they will obviously be obstructed when mounted in this arrangment.

Ricmotech rs3 June 25, 2016

So after 20 years of sim racing on a rolling chair and solid desk, it was time to find a cheap rig to build. After watching numerous video reviews it was clear which rig i was going to build....Ricmotech Rs3.

Plans were excellent...very easy to follow. Added on my own mouse pad on the side along with rear speakers on my seat head rest to match in.

Postage a little pricey to Australia, but overall when the rig was finished it was still extremely cheap.

Have encouraged some of my sim racing friends to also purchase plans.

Awesome simulator and easy to build February 20, 2016
Reviewer: james free from rockford , IL United States
I love this thing it was so simple to cut trace and build i did have some minor issues with fitment and had to custom.make my top decks but that's due to a faulty craftsman making a little wider of a base.I'm pretty sure and a good not to anyone reading this and is going to build one make sure you use 3/4 mdf wood ha I made the mistake ofolike buying 1/2 in on accident and thinking I could save some weight and wrong you'll be building two simulator like I did because the screws  just split the 1/2 mdf due to not thick enough so follow all directions! But other then that love this thing I race on Iracing every night on it and couldn't of asked for a more legitimate setup!!!  I recommend if your going to build one spend the little extra money on the RS1 plans and you will not be disappointed. Only thing I was more sad about then upset was I didn't get any stickers or decals with the ricmotech logo to rock on my simulator!!

Almost perfect great value! February 12, 2016
Reviewer: Randall Hough from Port Moody, BC Canada
This thing is SOLID (and heavy)!  The instructions can be better. They are very good, but could be improved. Add a note that the holes for the pedal deck in the template requires the pedal deck to be 3/8" from flush to the front of the footwell. It looks better like that and a note/reference line on the template would help.

The RS1 scores big on the value scale!
