Description Technical Specs Manuals

Introducing the newest simulator chassis to join the AP-Xtreme family, the AP-Xtreme Lite. This chassis was created for those applications where only the basic controls are needed. It can hard-mount most wheels available on the market, most floor mount pedals, and even has an adjustable shifter mount. The chassis lets you mount any seat you choose so you can personalize the simulator to your tastes. Choose any of the ProCar seats available here or mount your own.

Since the AP-Xtreme Lite Bare sim chassis is built on the proven AP-Xtreme platform, the chassis can be converted in the future to the APX-1000/2000/3000. The major components are shared with its big brothers, so it can expand with you as your passion grows.

The sexy lines of the new AP-Xtreme Lite bare sim chassis cleverly disguises the slotted utility track with industrial HD polyethylene panels, making this the most versatile sim-racing chassis ever created. The utility track (commonly referred to as t-slot or 80-20) gives this chassis the ability to mount practically any form of sim-racing hardware that exists. This bare chassis is ready to mount all your essential sim-racing gear.

Proper Driving Position

Ergonomically Correct

From its inception, the chassis was designed to have the correct GT racing position. Instead of the "bus driver" position common to most other simulator chassis on the market, Ricmotech has taken careful measurements of real-world race cars and developed a sleek design while staying true to reality. After all, the entire reason for sim-racing in a chassis is to place ourselves in the proper racing position, so why would anyone settle for the "bus driver" position?

Apex Adjustability

Proper ergonomics puts the driver in the right position, but to get it perfect requires adjustability. Each critical element of the driving controls is designed to be individually adjustable. Not only does this permit getting every control situated in the right spot, but also accommodates various types of control which vary in angle or dimension. This adjustability is key in having a chassis that is completely upgradable for any hardware the future may bring.

  • Wheel: Up/Down, Front/Back, Tilt
  • Seat: Front Up/Down, Back Up/Down, Slide Front/Back, Recline
  • Pedals: Front/Back, Tilt
  • Shifter: Front/Back

The AP-Xtreme chassis was designed to mount virtually any type of sim-racing hardware available, either directly or by the use of an accessory bracket. For example, The stock wheel deck is pre-drilled to mount various wheels while the included pedal deck can mount various pedals in the inverted position.

Wheel deck can mount:

  • Logitech G25/G25/G27/G29/G920 wheels
  • Thrustmaster T-Series wheels
  • Fanatec Porsche and CSR wheels
  • Fanatec Club Sport wheel without adapter
  • AccuForce wheel

Shifter plate can mount:

  • Logitech G25/G27/Driving Force shifter
  • Thrustmaster TH8RS and TH8A shifter
  • Fanatec ClubSport shifter (requires Fanatec Clamp)

Seat bracket can mount:

  • Simulator seats available from Ricmotech
  • Any Flat bottom aftermarket seat

Pedal deck can mount:

  • Thrustmaster T3PA & T3PA-PRO floor mount and inverted pedals
  • Logitech G25/G27/G29/G920 pedals
  • Fanatec Clubsport floor mount or inverted pedals

Apex Upgradability

This chassis is designed to be fully upgradable. Not only can you upgrade the wheel pedals and shifter, but you can upgrade to any and all the accessories below. The simplicity of the slotted rails allows a multitude of options to be added. It truly is the ultimate in modularity.

  • Hand Brake
  • Multiple ButtKicker, Earthquake and/or Clark Synthesis shakers

I have shopped for a while for a new sim chassis. I chose this based on my prior experience with Ricmotech. I've found the products are equal or better than other sellers, prices usually better and great service. This chassis is in high demand so I waited for delivery as was I was advised and it arrived at the projected time. It was securely packaged and everything was as described. The assembly instructions were complete and easy to follow. The parts and hardware are very high quality and complete. The fit and finish are precise and easily adjustable to fit my equipment from my other chassis. Highly recommended.

5 of 5 Light, rigid, and modular February 26, 2017

I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect sim racing rig. I needed something that would fit under my staircase and be easy to move around so I could put it in front of my TV. The APX500 is light, even with a seat and Thrustmaster TX attached, extremely solid, and highly customizable to my exact ergonomics. Price wasn't my primary consideration, but the APX 500 also wound up being the best value. Finally, Frank was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the whole process, helping me with measurements and a barrage of questions.
