While we are all about hardcore simulation and trying to blur the line between virtual and reality; I think we can be excused for having a bit of fun just this time.
On September 10th, we will have a unique open house where we'll have a Forza Horizon 5 tournament. While this is a departure from what we're used to, we believe it will be fun for our regulars and hopefully bring in some new folks into the community we've built in South Florida. To make it more welcoming to newcomers, participants can bring their personal controllers to compete if that's their preference.
The course will be custom-made and shared publicly before the event so participants can get some practice before Saturday. The theme of the car/track combination will be RallyCross, so expect some close wheel-to-wheel racing and the occasional jump.
Forza Horizon 5 Tournament 2022 Format:
11 AM - 1 PM: Open Qualifying (Set your best lap; top 12 advance to the semi-finals)
1:10 PM - 1:30 PM: Semi-Finals (The top 12 will be split into two groups of six for a single race.; the Top 3 in each group advance to the final)
1:40 PM - 1:50 PM: Final (Top 3 from both semi-final groups race it out for a $500 Prize Purse)
1:55 PM - 2 PM: Podium Ceremonies/Tournament End
