This GT4 Steering Wheel is based on the Simagic wheel but specially modified by Ricmotech for tethered USB operation. The wheel features the same functionality as buttons, rotary dials, shifters, and clutches but with a hardwired USB connection rather than wireless connectivity. The wired connection is free of interference from EMI and other wireless devices that operate in the same frequencies. Serious Esports competitors avoid wireless controllers for these very reasons.
This modified Simagic GT4 Wheel ships with the female side of an NRG-compatible quick-release which easily mounts to a compatible male side such as those used with the MiniMite Pro, AccuForce, MOZA, and Simagic direct-drive steering units. The conversion features a pre-attached mount with a 6-foot (2-meter) coiled cable with a USB A connector. The cable is easily replaceable without the need to disassemble the wheel should it become damaged. We recommend having a USB jack near the steering base such as our USB Dock or any USB hub. The coiled cable is not intended to stretch to the PC.
This wheel is based on the 300mm (11.8 inches) carbon-fiber-faced, Simagic GT4 Steering Wheel (SMG-GT4-CV1). It features an extremely sturdy quick-release system with zero play for a seamless connection to the force-feedback sensations, making changes between multiple steering wheels entirely possible. The wheel also features magnetic paddle shifters with adjustable paddle positions.
The front of the wheel has eight lighted push buttons, two rotary encoders, and two multi-functional navigation controls often referred to as funky switches. The back of the wheel has two magnetic paddle shifters with carbon fiber paddles. The wheel is available with optional clutch paddles.
