We have always been bothered by the clumsy mounting of cell phones used as sim-racing dashboards and decided to do something about it. What we came up with was a cradle that allows you to use your personal phone as a dash screen and have it placed exactly where you need it. You simply start your favorite app on your phone and drop it into the phone mount. The cradle locates the phone so it is properly centered in the screen opening framed by a "data logger" shaped bezel. The cradle will work with most phones up to a 5" screen and some slightly larger screens will work with only a partially obscured edge (up to 5.2" screens). The cradle also has clearance for a charging cable.

The cradle is made of sturdy ABS plastic with a carbon fiber screen over the front. The plastic, unlike metal, does not interfere with wireless connectivity.

There are dozens of apps available on iOS and Android stores that work with many games on PC, PlayStation4 and Xbox. Please download and test the apps prior to purchasing the cradle to be sure your phone will work properly. Ricmotech cannot provide support for these apps and we cannot accept returns on the cradle for app related reasons.

3 of 5 could be great if it weren't for the cheap screws November 4, 2019
Reviewer: Clayton Culpepper from Virginia Beach, VA United States
I wanted to give this a great review because overall it does what it is supposed to do. The only thing is you have to spend extra to replace the cheesy cheap screws that screw into both sides of the spacers. I read the other reviews about this but since my wheel base is permanently mounted and I have a dedicated Galaxy S7 for my dash(that I rarely have to remove from the cradle) so I thought it wouldn't be an issue. WRONG! This thing is mounted to a force feedback wheel that vibrates so eventually the screws loosen and fall out. Twice I had to remove the entire plate from the wheel because one of the low screws fell out  and ends up between the plate and the wheel base. Honestly the fix cost me less than 2 bucks by going to Home Depot and getting an 8 pack of 1" #4 bolts and nuts but come on. This thing is basically a $45 piece of plastic. There is no reason they can't supply through bolts to make this worth the price they charge.

4 of 5 Good product May 14, 2019

The product is very good, and the idea is fantastic, but I think that have to improve some things, like:
1- The screws that fix the 2 parts of the cradle are a bad idea. I replaced it with others that pass through the 2 parts and fix them with nuts.
2- The cradle can have a kind of curve, and continue the wheel base figure, in order to be a bit more far off the hands.

But in general, with this little fix that I did, I think that it's a fantastic product.

3 of 5 Poor standoff material choice. April 24, 2019
Reviewer: Jacob Royer
This product is mostly great with the one exception of the rubber standoffs. The screws don't actually "screw" into the standoffs, they are simply inserted and are prone to falling out. I was able to live with this for a little bit but decided to make my own changes. I ordered a set of 1/2" aluminum standoffs with screws that would fit and now everything stays in place. Why they didn't do this in the first place is beyond me. Only other thing I might change is offer different sizes for larger phones.

4 of 5 Disappointed February 27, 2019

Long story short, the spacers used for the varying phone sizes are plastic and I hit the cradle instead of the paddle shifter given the distance between the 2 and the screws are stripped and the cradle is no longer usable. That out of the way, prior to damaging the unit it was great. I used a Samsung Galaxy 7 with great results. It placed the unit in my sightline so it was easy to read at a glance.

5 of 5 Phone cradle adaptor December 3, 2018

Another great product from Ricmotech, yes the spacers are a pain to screw, don't see any way of making that easier unless using a spring. Display is mounted in a great spot, easily readable with the Sparco wheel I use for GT and truck driving. All in all a very cost effective way of having a data display on your wheel, and the advantage for me is that the app I use allows me to design and customize my displays for the different games I play. A big thumbs for Ricmotech, and the thank you card is a very nice touch, I must say.
