These gate blockers easily install under the metal gate plate on the Thrustmaster TH8A or TH8RS shifter fitted with the short throw adapter. They block out the last 1, 2, or 3 gear slots to convert the shifter to a 6-speed, 5-speed, or 4-speed as you desire. This set of gate blockers includes all three so you can switch them out as you like.

The gate blockers only work in conjunction with the RMT-TMSS short throw shifter kit.

Partially blocks reverse

The blocker blocks out the extra gears. Be sure to remove it when you are calibrating for new software that wants to row through all the gears. And it partially blocks reverse.

Reverse Opening Too Big

The reverse opening is too big so you can end up shifting into neutral even thought the unwanted gate is blocked. I built a standard 5 speed gate blocker 2 years ago & I found out the opening for reverse needs to be tight. The blocker for gate 6 was shaped at an angle up to guide my shift into 5th gear with a small opening for reverse. With the Ricmotech gate blocker I was leading A.I. at vintage Le Mans in a 917K missed shift & then was in 4th place. ~:^( I only drive in VR so I was quite confused when this happened.

Gate Blockers

Gate blockers are good. Could be made of a little more sturdy marerial but otherwise decent product.
