You asked and we delivered. Finally there is a do-it-yourself option for adding triple monitors to the RS1-DIY or the RS500-DIY.
Have you wanted a robust racing simulator cockpit that can hold three monitors in a wrap-around configuration? The RS1 is that cockpit. Unlike most commercially available racing cockpits that wiggle and cannot withstand the weight of triple monitors and hold them steady for you while you race in your favorite sim-racing game, the RS1 is rock solid. So, it was only natural that we take advantage of that sturdiness and create a DIY triple monitor mount for it.
The RS3-DIY is a triple display holder you build yourself out of 3/4 inch thick MDF to upgrade your existing RS1-DIY or RS500-DIY simulator. The plans include cutting templates and a step-by-step instruction book just like our RS1-DIY sim-racing cockpit plans. This triple monitor holder is robust enough to support up to three 27 inch inch monitors weighing up to 20lbs each. By using three identical monitors, the self-aligning design of the RS3-DIY will place your monitors perfectly aligned, and butted edge-to-edge. The angle of the side monitors has been carefully worked out to optimize the viewing angle to the driver no matter which size monitors you use. The monitors mount to the RS3 using the monitors own VESA 100 mounting provisions to make sure the monitors are firmly supported. For users that prefer to tuck the side monitors behind the center monitor to help conceal the bezel, there is an option on the templates to build the brackets that way (this feature requires monitors that do not exceed 1.25 inches of thickness at the edges of the monitors).
The RS1 sim-racing cockpit has already been touted as one of the most rigid designs among both DIY and commercially made gaming simulators available. All that strength and rigidity is what allows us to offer this unique option. The strength and stability of the RS1 is what allows a triple monitor stand to me mounted safely, do not try this with any other racing simulators on the market. The RS3 triple monitor brackets added to the RS1 or RS500 creates one of the only all-in-one designs on the market today.

RS3 DIY Triple Monitor Mount Plans and Templates
These plans provide an extremely sturdy and economical means to mount 3 monitors to your RS1. Saved hundreds over a comparable steel mount. The plans make it easy if you have any woodworking experience. Take your time sanding, several of the pieces must be exactly the same size for everything to line up perfect. I also highly recommend the SnapMount Brackets.

TV mount
I only built and installed the back mount for the time being. I reinforced the back because i'm using a 40 inch TV. The complete project was fun to build. I modified a lot of the project to suit the kids.

RS3 Standalone
I purchased the plans and built my RS3 as a stand alone triple screen mount, adjustable for vertical travel. Excellent easy to follow plans. My only gripe is that 3/4 MDF is freakin heavy material, but easy to work with and seems durable enough as long as its' not subject to being moved on a regular basis. If I do it again, I'll use a lighter weight material? I used 3, 32 thin bezel flat panels and they mount/line up perfectly.

Holds monitors from 17 to 27 inches in 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10 aspect ratios. Perfectly aligns 3 of the same monitors edge-to-edge with its unique self-aligning design. Optionally allows the side monitors to "tuck" behind the center monitor to conceal the bezel. Utilizes the monitors own VESA 75x75 or 100x100 mounting system. Hold monitors at the perfect distance from the driver. Wrap-Around mount optimizes the veiwing angle for less glare. Accommodates extra gear such as surround speakers and power strips for powering monitors. Fully Customizable so you can easily paint it and modify it to your liking. Easy to Build means you can build it in a weekend and get racing right away. Makes your Friends Jealous, and who doesn't want that!
For monitors from 17 to 27 inches. Recommended for monitors less than 50lbs.
